READ Academy

All students entering grades K-3 are invited to attend Summer Academy if their reading assessment scores indicate that they are reading significantly below grade level. At Summer Academy, they receive individual help and extra practice to help them get caught up with their peers. If your student is invited, Summer Academy is the best way to make sure he or she will be ready at the start of the next school year.

ELA Academy

Students in an ELA program entering grades 1-8 are invited to attend Summer Academy if their most recent ACCESS score is 1-4. Attendance is highly recommended for these students so that they can take advantage of individualized instruction and get on track for proficiency in English.

9th Grade Academy at University of Denver

DPS and University of Denver have partnered to create a Summer Academy program for students entering 9th grade who are in ELA programs. Like other Summer Academy programs, students receive extra practice in reading and writing. In addition, they will get to explore college and career options through guest speakers and field visits.
